    Ordered Garmin GTU10 1/2/14. Seven days I used their chat function to inquire. Rep. stated no tracking number available and they would email the tracking number within 48 hours. Two days later I called Customer service. The Rep. said the item had shipped on 1/3 but no tracking number.   • Strung Along for 5 months, still no product



    Hello, I would like to call your attention to this matter. I have been dealing with this vendor since Sept 30, 2011 when I placed the order. My order never arrived. Below is a timeline of what happened: 10/7 - called to inquire about the order and to tell them that it had not arrived. Was asked to call back 10 days after its shipping due date. Called back on 10/14 and talked to "Ken" who told me if the package had not arrived by 10/20 to call back and they would re-ship my order.     On 08/05/2011 I ordered: order#: FOS1494455E product: Garmin 010-C0493-00 (microSD/SD Card) Bluechart US700J, Entire East Coast (digital chart for a GPS) I paid $386.95 by credit card. Over the next few weeks they sent me the wrong product twice.(part: 010C006400) Each time I returned the product to factoryoutletstore. Today (09/27/2011) after not hearing anything for a few weeks I called their 800 number (1-800-816-0810).     We ordered an item from factoryoutletstore.com, and when it arrived, it was the wrong item in the box. The receipt was correct, the charge to our card was correct, but the item sent was not. We called the Cust Service number listed (Guaranteed to assist) and were told that they would be happy to exchange it, but we had to pay shipping to get it back to them! This was a large item - not cheap shipping. Any reputable company has procedures in place to deal with company mistakes. You do not make your customer pay for a company mistake! My complaints of factory outlet stores are many. From bait and switch sales tactics to extreamly rude customer service people. I curently have a order in dispute thru my credit card company and have requested their fraud department review the companys business practices.
